So here it is,

The very first ever featured bike on scootlink.com and I have to say it sums up what this site and scootering is all about. The bikes owner is a maniac scotsman name of Dave, he is also the man who introduced me to scootering.

The story begins when Dave siezes his vespa T5 on the way to cleethorpes and after getting it back home from beverly decides to get rid of it. He decided to swap it for a vespa P200 that was rather in need of some love and attention.

Recruiting some mates in the shape of Beva and Hattie from the billingham A19s the poor bike was duly stripped to the bone and thrashed with the old wire brush. Meanwhile, Dave got himself around various parts fairs to bag himself some shiny bits as the remains of the scoot were dropped off to be painted.

Now Dave is a man who knows what he likes and when it came to the colour it had to be the right one. So after harrassing strangers in the street (really) he discovered that the shade he wanted was a misty grey, discontinued by vauxhall. This turned out to be no problem for the painters who did a great job for a price that makes me green with envy.
